On Tuesday, August 13th, 2019 M&B founding partner George Beason passed. George grew up in Huntsville and attended the University of Alabama. Upon graduation from Cumberland School of law, George joined the FBI as a Special Agent. In 1972 George returned to Huntsville and joined Doug Martinson, Sr., and together they founded Martinson & Beason.
Over the years George was involved with numerous civic organizations in the Huntsville area. He has served on the Land Trust, Space & Rocket Center boards and the City of Huntsville Beautification Board to name a few. George enjoyed the practice of law and was a zealous advocate for his clients.
Outside the office, George was avid golfer, runner and Alabama football fan. Above and beyond the law and sports, George was a family man, who loved his wife Lynda, three children (Wendy, Elizabeth & Jennifer) and grandchildren more than anything. The Martinson & Beason family honors George’s memory and his dedication to his family, his clients and the community.
