Alabama Crimson Tide Picked as Preseason No. 1

Alabama Crimson Tide - Martinson & Beason, P.C.It’s no secret that the SEC is the best college football conference in the world. Don’t believe us? In the past seven seasons, the BCS Championship has remained in the possession of one conference—we’ll let you guess who.

As a Huntsville, Alabama business, we’re proud to announce that one team has risen to the top once again, even with a brutal schedule.

The Alabama Crimson Tide, fresh off of their third national championship in four years, was recently named the preseason No. 1 in the AP Top 25 Poll.

The accolades don’t stop there, however. Nick Saban’s Alabama squad also holds the top spot in the USA Today Preseason Top 25 Poll.

SEC teams own six of the top 12 spots in the AP Top 25 and six of the top 13 in the USA Today poll.

Last season, Alabama knocked off undefeated Notre Dame in the national championship, a showing that demonstrated to the country why the SEC can’t be stopped. If A.J. McCarron can lead his squad to another BCS victory, the Crimson Tide will become the first team ever to win three straight championships.

This season, the game to watch happens early as the Crimson Tide visit Heisman-winner Johnny Manziel and Texas A&M in College Station on Sept. 14. The Aggies handed Alabama its only loss last season, a reminder that you can’t let your guard down for a second in the SEC—even in Tuscaloosa.

The regular season will end on Nov. 30 with the in-state rivalry game: Alabama at Auburn.

At Martinson & Beason, P.C., we’re proud to have served Alabama communities across the state since 1937. With our time-honored tradition of face-to-face client-attorney interaction, we’ve grown to know our clients and their passions. One of the greatest passions in the state, of course, is football, evident when greeted with a “Roll Tide.”

We want wish the preseason No. 1 good luck this season as they chase another Coaches’ Trophy!
