Mo Show Live with Spencer Beaty

Mo Show Live with Spencer Beaty

The next episode of the Mo Show Live will air Friday, January 3rd, 2020 at 3:00 PM and will feature Spencer Beaty, head men’s basketball coach of the Carter High School Hornets, located in Knox County, Tennessee. Morris and Coach Beaty will be discussing high school basketball, player development, and their upcoming Coaches vs. Cancer game benefiting the American Cancer Society. This episode will also feature a few of Coach Beaty’s players.

Coach Beaty was named the Hornets men’s head coach in 2018. He has previously coached the Sequoyah High School women’s basketball team and Gatlinburg-Pittman men’s basketball team where he was voted Coach of the Year. Coach Beaty was a four-year starter for Maryville College men’s basketball team, where Morris Lilienthal played football. After graduation, Coach Beaty stayed on at Maryville College as an associate head coach.

On January 24th, 2020, Coach Beaty’s Hornets will be participating in the Union County game in conjunction with Coaches vs. Cancer and Suits and Sneakers, which is sponsored by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) and college basketball. Halftime will feature a “fill the bucket” campaign to raise money for the American Cancer Society.  Since 1993, coaches have raised nearly $100 million for the American Cancer Society. Knoxville TVA Credit Union is sponsoring the game and further donating towards the cause.
