Raina Hooie Baugher was born and raised in North Alabama, growing up in the small town of Lester in western Limestone County. She graduated from West Limestone High School in 2019, where she was actively involved in varsity sports, student government, and several club executive committees.
After high school, Raina attended The University of Alabama, graduating summa cum laude in 2023 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, completing her degree in three years. During her time at Alabama, she participated in various leadership and civic engagement programs, with a strong focus on service learning and community outreach initiatives. Among her most meaningful college experiences was serving as an intern for the Freshman Forum program where she mentored first-year students and facilitated leadership development efforts within the Tuscaloosa Community.
While working on her degree, Raina had the opportunity to intern for The Honorable L. Scott Coogler (Ret.) of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Alabama. This invaluable experience gave her early insight into the legal profession and solidified her desire to pursue a career in the legal field.
Following graduation, Raina earned her Juris Doctor from The University of Alabama School of Law in May 2025. While in law school, she externed for three semesters with The Honorable James H. Roberts, Jr. of the Sixth Judicial Circuit of Alabama and served as an editor on The Law and Psychology Review. During the summer months, Raina worked as a law clerk with Martinson and Beason, gaining practical experience and a solid foundation in probate, estate, and business matters.
Raina is excited to return to Martinson and Beason as an associate attorney. She looks forward to serving clients with compassion and diligence.
Outside of work, Raina enjoys interior design, trying new recipes, and spending time with her nieces and nephews. She is a fan of college and professional football, as well as the Atlanta Braves. Raina is married to Alec Baugher, a fellow North Alabama native who works on Redstone Arsenal.
