The next episode of the Mo Show Live will be former professional football players Tony Dixon and Courtney Taylor. Morris, Tony, and Courtney all share roots in Pickens County, Alabama. Tony Dixon played at the University of Alabama and later for the Dallas Cowboys. Courtney Taylor played at Auburn University and in the NFL for the Seattle Seahawks.

So what’s it like to move from small high school football to the biggest stages in the football world? Tune in to find out as Morris, Tony and Courtney will be discussing football in rural Pickens County and the transition to the big stage in Tuscaloosa, Auburn and the NFL.

Tony Dixon played high school football at Pickens County High School. Tony played both sides of the ball as a running back and defensive back. At the University of Alabama, Tony played safety and was a leader in tackles. He was selected in the second round of the 2001 NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys. He played with the Cowboys until 2005 when he signed a one-year deal with the Redskins. He was later re-signed by the Cowboys where he completed his career.

Courtney Taylor attended Carrollton High School in Pickens County where he started as Quarterback and Cornerback. At Auburn, he converted to wide receiver. Courtney holds the record at Auburn for career receptions with 153. Courtney was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in the sixth round of the 2007 NFL Draft. In July of that year, he signed a four-year contract with the team. Courtney’s playing days were interrupted by his multiple sclerosis diagnosis in 2008. Through treatment, the disease went into remission and Courtney played with the British Columbia Lions in the Canadian Football League in 2011 through 2013.
