Mo Show Live with Lt. Ken Blandenburg

The next episode of the Mo Show Live will air Wednesday, September 29th at 3:00 PM Central time and will feature guest Lt. Ken Bladenburg from Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, Georgia. As a police officer and School Resource Officer (SRO), Lt. Bladenburg will join Morris to discuss the role of a SRO in supporting safer schools.

School Resource Officers are law enforcement officers with specializing training to work in a school facility. While their top priority is creating a safe and secure environment for students to learn, SROs have a diverse role in the community and school.

Of course, every school district is different and the job of school-based police officers continues to evolve. They work in elementary, middle, and high schools and focus on not only building positive relationships with students, but also providing education and giving students an understanding of our legal system.

In this upcoming episode, we’ll hear from Lt. Blandenburg about the roles and duties an SRO plays in today’s schools. He’ll share more about their responsibilities for promoting safety and preventing crime.
