As Alabama car and truck accident attorneys, we too often see the destruction an automobile accident has on the victims and their families. Many Alabama car and truck accidents can be avoided if drivers would simply follow the Rules of the Road. The average Alabama driver obtains their driver’s license at age 16 by passing a written test and road test administered by the Alabama Department of Public Safety. Ironically, as teenagers were required to know these Rules of the Road to obtain our license, yet most drivers continue to drive for more than 50 years after obtaining their license without having to re-take their driver’s test. A requirement that driver’s have to re-take this test and refresh their memory about the Rules of the Road might just prevent many future car and truck accidents. A copy of the Alabama Driver Manual can be downloaded on the Alabama Department of Public Safety website.
