Walmart Recalls Card Table due to Finger Amputations

If you’ve recently bought a Walmart card table and chair set for your upcoming family get-together or game night, you need to know about this recall.

Walmart has issued a recall for a card table and chair set. The chairs that come with the table can collapse unexpectedly, leading to a risk of falls and finger amputations.

There have been 10 reports of injuries sustained while using the table and chairs, including a sore back, sprained or fractured fingers, and even four finger amputations.

The recall involves Mainstays card table sets, which include a black padded metal folding table and four black padded metal folding chairs. The chairs will have a white label on the bottom that says “Made by: Dongguan Shin Din Metal & Plastics Product Co” or “Made by: Taiwan Shin Yeh Enterprises.

This product was sold at Walmart between May of 2013 and November of 2013. About 73,000 sets were produced and sold.

If you have this table and chair set, stop using it immediately. You can return the set to Walmart for a full refund. We urge you to return the set before it injures you or someone you care about.
