Born and raised outside of Philadelphia in Levittown, Pennsylvania, Rocco earned his degree in Journalism from Temple University. He took the plunge into broadcasting by covering Temple football and basketball while working for their student-run television station. Upon graduating in 2016, Rocco worked for WTVY News 4 in Dothan as a Sports Reporter, covering Auburn, Alabama, and Troy.
