Cybersecurity
What the Internet giveth, the hackers taketh away. The most important tool of the twenty-first century continues to open doors and connect us with others from around the globe. But in spite of all the advancements the Internet has provided, it is also unfortunately the weapon of choice for would-be identity thieves and hackers. The recent compromise of four-million federal government employees’ information serves as an important reminder of this imposing threat. With thousands of Department of Defense personnel and federal contractors right here in the Tennessee Valley, security and privacy remains paramount in online activities. While there’s no way to eliminate the threat completely, we wanted to share some of the ways we’re protecting our information at Martinson & Beason, P.C., and we want to advise our clients to do the same.
