Last year, my wife Shannon and I started a team to help support the March of Dimes. The mission of this organization is to promote healthy pregnancies, improve prenatal care, and prevent health issues threatening babies. The organization carries out this mission by providing local programs and funding life-saving research.

What Are the Most Expensive Cars to Insure?

Does the type of car you have affect your insurance rate? Absolutely—and a recent article from AL.com reports on the most and least expensive cars to drive. According to the article, Insure.com compiled this list, which cites luxury car makers as the most expensive to insure. What topped the list? The Nissan GT-R Track Edition was found to be the most expensive, with an annual premium of $3,169. Part of the reason for the high annual premium is the cost of repairs. The GT-R has carbon fiber body panels that typically have to be completely replaced after an accident.

The first change, according to a recent Yahoo! article, involves installing car seats. The installation of car seats is directly related to the safety they provide. If your child’s car seat is installed incorrectly, it could be failing to provide the maximum protection in an accident. Unfortunately, up to 75 percent of kids ride in a car seat that isn’t installed properly. Since 2002, the government has required automakers to have anchors in the rear seats of all cars for the LATCH system.
